Google has released Channel Diagnostics for Performance Max campaigns, giving advertisers a centralized dashboard to spot asset problems that throttle campaign delivery. The feature is live now in Insights & Reports > Channel Performance.
Performance Max is designed to run your ads across Google's full network, Search, Display, YouTube, Gmail, and more. But missing or disapproved assets often cause Google's system to restrict where your ads can appear, cutting reach without you knowing why.
Channel Diagnostics eliminates that blind spot. The tool shows you exactly which asset types, headlines, descriptions, images, or other creative elements, are missing or failed approval in each channel, and flags which ones are limiting your eligibility to run ads there.
This is especially valuable for campaigns running across multiple channels where asset requirements differ. A headline that works fine on Search might not meet YouTube specs, or an image might be disapproved on Display but not Gmail. Channel Diagnostics shows you those channel-specific gaps so you can build assets that unlock every door.
